Hent en bøtte med vann
til min gamle mann
En i en fei, to i en fei
Andremann skal gå under
Tredjemann, osv.
Til sist sier man: Vi faller ned
Leikebeskrivelse
Da synger man We all fall out. Så slipper man taket.
Versjon 2 Draw me a bucket of water
Draw me a bucket of water
For my eldest daughter
We got none in the bunch and four out the bunch
And you go under sister Sally
Frog in the bucket and it can’t get out
Frog in the bucket and it can’t get out
Frog in the bucket and it can’t get out
Frog in the bucket and it can’t get out!
Directions
Children are divided into groups by 4. They cross their hands and hold on throughout the song. The first pair holds hands outstretched, and the second pair joins hands over the first pair's hands. The pairs pull as they sing, seesawing in a rhythmical movement against each other in time to the music. The children may also walk clockwise as they sing.
At the end of a stanza, one child "pops under" the joined hands crossed in front--without letting go of the hands. Two arms are raised, and one girl comes under; this is repeated till all four girls have come under the arms.
Thus, the children change their positions.
First there is one child in the center, then two children, then three children.
When the last child pops under the interlocking arms, they will have formed a "bucket."
All four children then turn clockwise in a circle and sing the stanza for a fifth time. Then they speak the line: "We all fall out!"
